San Antonio Youth Ballet
As the non-profit arm of San Antonio Ballet School, The San Antonio Youth Ballet is San Antonio’s premier pre-professional dance training program designed to cultivate the art of dance among future generations. Our most passionate, pre-professional students who are interested in dance as a career are encouraged to audition for this prestigious program.
SAYB Mission Statement:
San Antonio Youth Ballet is a pre-professional program led by Danielle Campbell Steans, whose mission is to cultivate the art of dance among future generations. SAYB provides young dancers, ages 10-18, unique opportunities to train and perform in a professional environment and to represent the San Antonio community at events and dance competitions throughout the state of Texas and beyond. Performance experience is a critical component to a student’s artistic and technical development. This program provides students with the necessary environment to pursue a career in dance, work towards obtaining a college scholarship, or even fulfill a passion for dance.
SAYB is a 501 c3 Non-Profit Organization under the Ballet Latino de San Antonio Umbrella. SAYB has performed at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, The Carver Community Cultural Center and the Scottish Rite Library and Cathedral. SAYB has promoted literacy with story time and short performances for Barnes & Noble and creates programming for children with learning differences.
